Course information
A closed course for this one as the Royal Oak Police Department will have it shut down for us. We are utilizing the historic 40 year old Apple run course. The word for this one is fast! Royal Oak is flat and you will make your way through downtown and past residents cheering you on. Aid stations will be at every mile with water and Gatorade Endurance Formula on ice.
Venue information
Royal Oak is known for great night life, great restaurants and a trendy downtown shopping area and bars. It also is home to the Detroit Zoo.
Registration information
Open: 6:00 am, Close 7:45 am. Once you arrive on site follow the signs and flags to the registration start area. Have you id ready and proceed to your group. Do not arrive late, we will not delay the start of an event for late arrivals.
Fees
Kids Fun Run: $25, Short course: $45, Long course: $50, Double-Up: $65
On site morning of registration please add $10 to above fees.
Policies
Kona Running Company follows the same industry standard policy as other event companies nationwide. There are NO REFUNDS and NO TRANSFERS given including an event cancelation due to circumstances out of Kona Running Company’s control including but not limited to: pandemic shut down, health crisis, unsafe course conditions due to construction or weather.
Refunds and Transfers will be granted for Military members who are unable to attend due to their service requirements. or due to the death of a registrant’s family member.
Athlete Amenities
First 500 participants get a 3×5 USA Flag. Great finisher medal, custom event t-shirt, and we’re bringing you everything that’s great about Royal Oak! Taste the town will be a smorgasbord of bite size treats and eats from restaurants all over town.
Parking
Parking will be in and around the venue and parking structure downtown.

The super fast, and fun course that takes you straight down 4th, before diving into the residential area. Don’t forget about the “gauntlet” you might get wet?
