Course information
A closed course for this one as the Royal Oak PD will have it shut down for us. We are utilizing the same course from our past events here. A down and back section on 4th, with a zig-zag through the streets with those residents cheering you on. This one is flat and fast! Aid stations will be at every mile with water and Gatorade Endurance Formula on ice. Please click here for course map.
Venue information
The cities new Centennial park and 3rd street will serve as the event backdrop for this one. The park is perfect for families and athletes to relax and enjoy the sites and sounds of our Oktoberfest. We are planning a great time with music, and all the Oktoberfest theme including beer. It may be a tad early for it, but a taste is all you need? Royal Oak is known for its trendy downtown that has great restaurants, bars and nightlife. Royal Oak also is home to the Detroit Zoo.
Registration information
Open: 6:30 am, Close 7:45 am. Once you arrive on site follow the signs and flags to the registration start area. Have you id ready and proceed to your group. Do not arrive late, we will not delay the start of an event for late arrivals.
Fees
Kids Fun Run: $25, Short courses: $45, Long courses: $50, $65 Double
Morning of registration please add $10 to above fees.
Policies
Kona Running Company follows the same industry standard policy as other event companies nationwide. There are NO REFUNDS and NO TRANSFERS given including an event cancelation due to circumstances out of Kona Running Company’s control including but not limited to: pandemic shut down, health crisis, unsafe course conditions due to construction or weather.
Refunds and Transfers will be granted for Military members who are unable to attend due to their service requirements. or due to the death of a registrant’s family member.

Parking
Parking will be in and around the venue. There are plenty of options to park Downtown Royal Oak.

Themed Running Events
The theme for this one will be Oktoberfest, Bavaria, and the festive atmosphere all of that entails with the party in the brand new Centennial commons park downtown Royal Oak.
5K, 10k + Double Up Offered
Due to time constraints the Double Up for this one will be two loops of the 5k course, so 10k.
Custom Event Medal
This year’s medal will feature the logo with a custom ribbon.
Race Swag
A custom long sleeve with logo, finisher medal. Award winners will receive a glass beer stein.
Fun Enviornment
Using the brand new Centennial commons park downtown Royal Oak, a fun place for all with music, fun and festive.
Post-race Snack Table
The focus here will be the same with Bavaria foods and snacks with your morning brew from Lockharts BBQ. Pretzel bites, Bavaria style doughnut pastry, beer cheese, Bavaria style popcorn, soda, and more.
